The University of Nicosia is proud to have contributed to a number of worthwhile causes and charitable endeavours over the past year, in varied ways: raising awareness and our collective voice, along with another billion people the world over, in denouncing violence against women; continuing the struggle to curtail the worsening condition of our environment, including our prized beach-fronts and sea-beds; as well as through hands-on participation, in activities such as the ALS 'Ice-Bucket Challenge' for TELETHON. We recognise this to be an integral part of our mission as an academic institution, an essential connection and responsibility to our community and beyond.
